Highlights from Gibraltar

gibraltar

Gibraltar has gone and past and now it is time to reflect on the event.

One thing I should make clear is that, the Gibraltar chess congress is a great event!

All the players were lucky this year as the sun was shinning. I even managed to get a tan on my face, which is in stark contrast to England, where everything seems to be covered in snow!

In the next couple of posts, I will insert some videos that were taken from my commentary. Thanks has to be given to Macauley Peterson who arranged the professional broadcast that you will see.

My intended victim was Jonathan Parker, a strong GM who decided that his time was better spent making money in the city.

Introducing the Jutes of Kent!

4ncl

This is often a great weekend, where friends can catch up to have a nice meal, some beer and maybe a little bit of chess.

I am lucky enough to play for one of the most social teams in the event, ‘The Jutes of Kent’, a great bunch of people with fantastic team spirit. Before I move onto my games from the weekend I thought that it would be a bit of fun to introduce the players in the team, to the readers of gingergm…
