The 1st Big Slick Chess tournament will take place at the Big Slick Poker Club, Purley (near Croydon), a fantastic venue not unfamiliar to many English chess players!

Current plans are for a 10-player all-play-all section Saturday 27th June – Sunday 5th July and a 5-round FIDE-rated open Friday 26th June – Sunday 28th June.

There will be a fully stocked bar, tea/coffee and a selection of food available.

The poker club will be open as normal every day in the evenings. See Big Slick website for their schedule.

Space is limited so book early!

Important! It is necessary that all participants are registered with the Big Slick club. Registration is free but you will need to bring some form of photo ID.

There is a mandatory 48 hour waiting period under the terms of Big Slick’s licence, so apply in advance at http://www.bigslick.co.uk/application.html.

If you also wish to play poker in the club, there is a £25 membership fee. This is not payable if you are only playing the chess tournament.
